Why monogamy matters.

Monogamy matters because it is being self committed to someone. The human body is important, it is to be respected and cherished because it is something that works really hard. When you are willing to share a moment with someone it should be the person you love and the person you marry. It is not only healthy for you but for the relationship. When a person waits, they protect themselves from disease, becoming a parent at an early age, and they feel more confident about themselves. According to the New York Times, from 2002-2008 the percent increased to 28 percent of Americans who are still virgins and is waiting. This leads back to religion. It is also said that the happiest women are the ones that had only one to two sex partners in their life. This leads back to being confident, when having one partner, it makes a person feel happy to know that they are doing the right thing.
